ARK: Survival Evolved loads a map by its startup value. These values are case-sensitive, and several do not match the map's display name.

Change the active map
- Create a backup and stop the server.
- Open the startup or command-line settings in the game panel.
- Paste the exact startup value without a trailing space.
- Save and start the server. The first boot on a new map can take longer.
Each map normally uses its own save, so selecting another map does not automatically erase the previous world. A wipe, fresh install, or rebuild can remove multiple saves, so keep backups. Creatures, items, and survivors do not automatically move between maps; use ARK's transfer system before switching when needed.
